busts

this project was the most difficult i think.  We started out by molding the shoulders of our busts around a brick, then we worked our way up to eventually adding on the head. after shaving parts away, and adding more parts later, i finally ended up with how i wanted my bust to look. but it wasn't balanced correctly and feel face forward, messing up all my hard work.  So after i reconstructed the face i decided that he looked like he should be an Indian, so i painted his skin dark and added a headband, and put bright colors on his face and chest and feathers on his head.

Prints

this print project was by far my favorite and most loved project, we cut into a rubber surface called "easy cut" and we printed our first color (the light blues whites and pinks) then after we cut away everything we wanted to keep light blues. then i printed the yellow in the hair and the eyes, and continued the cutting process. printing onthe board was the most difficult, but i think it also paid off really well. I loved the prints and can't wait to start printing on the back

altered book

the three images shown above are part of our semester long project called the "altered book" we took old journals and painted, drew, cut, covered, glued, transferred, and altered these books.

finger painting

This project was my least favorite, it was difficult for me to chose the colors to blend them and to use my fingers to create movement but still have unity.  i cleaned it up a little more, by adding green to the face and red to the hair. either way im glad its done.

chalk plans and sidewalk chalk workshop

We divided up into teams and took a 4x4 square on the sidewalk and collaborated with our groups, to create a design (that we would also be using in art spark the next weekend) we had different ideas we wanted to use, like water, space and goats, then as we sat around the square we started planning out what we wanted, then after a quick sketch we colored in the mountains water, sand, tree, and sky to create our side walk chalk creation!

scanography

a hoby of mine is to dry flowers and collect peices of leaves and different plants i find outside. so for the scanography project i was planning on using the flowers to create a picture. Then i got the idea of using a CD case after talking to mrs. keofler after school one day. so i used the different parts of the CD and wrapped the plants around and inside them, and started scanning.

Filter

I took the photograph i had used in the photography unit, and added the filter labeled "textureizer"
